WORKING WITH A MEDITATION PRACTICE, WE CREATED A SERIES OF WORKS IN STONE AND BRONZE, WHICH REMIND US OF OUR PLACE WITHIN THE GREAT UNFOLDING PATTERN.

THE WORK BEGAN WITH A RETREAT TO INIS OIRR, THE SMALLEST OF THE ARAN ISLANDS, OFF THE WEST COAST OF IRELAND.

A landscape of limestone, the island has been sculpted over time by seasonal ebbs and flows - its rocky plains bear the scars of nature’s oscillations and a grand cosmic breath.

Gathering 3D scans and physical casts of the landscape’s marks and scars, we began to build canvases for the five artworks which form the Breath series.

BORNE OUT OF BASED UPON’S BREATH SERIES IS A NARRATIVE DRIVEN SURFACE COMBINED WITH INNOVATIVE MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY.
