THE BEAUTY AND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE UNIQUE LANDSCAPE, AND ALL THAT EXISTS WITHIN IT, IS EXPRESSED ACROSS ONE OF THE LARGEST IN OUR SIGNATURE BREATH SERIES.

In the hotel's lobby, the floor-to-ceiling sculpture captures the majesty of the mangrove forests and mudflats. Site-specific textures and patterns create a topographical surface, which is swathed in fine layers of liquid metals.

Algorithmic lighting becomes fundamental to the immersive experience; over time, the colour, shadow and pacing of the light changes, conveying guests to a personal sanctuary, from where they can experience a sense of stillness.

The work unfolds as guests move throughout the hotel. A book tells the story of captivating landscapes, moments of solitude, the wonder of nature and the distant city skyline, recounted through both written word and photography. In the hotel's rooms and suites, the complexity of the native ecosystem is depicted through a film, accompanied by an original Based Upon composition and site-specific poem.
